GlossWorks Detailed: Bentley Continental GT

Here is a gorgeous Bentley Continental GT detailed by GlossWorks. Upon inspection of the paint, it was decided that it would receive a double step, major paint correction to fully remove all the deep swirling and scratches that had been inflicted on the paintwork. The wheels, engine bay, and interior would also get a thorough cleanse.

For those who don’t know much about the Continental GT, it is a luxury sports coupe manufactured by Bentley with a monster attitude. Sporting a twin-turbocharged W12 engine, it accelerates from 0-100kph in 4.8 sec, with a top speed of 318kph, all despite weighing almost 2.5 metric tons. On to the pictures…

The Continental GT as it arrived.

The whole front end was peppered with dead bugs.

Swirls were not visible when the car was in the shade, but there were streaks all over the car.

The front wheels were extremely filthy, with the lips stained from the brake dust coming from the monster brakes.

The rear wheels were no different.

The car was first given a foam down then a good hand wash.

Once pulled indoors and dried, the defects were obvious. The car had lots of scratches from improper washing.

Left panel polished, right panel still showing the swirls.

Left side polished, right side untouched.

Notice the difference in depth and gloss once the panel on the left side has been polished.

Once countless hours of polishing on the first day, it was time to move to the interior on the second day.

The leather seats were FILTHY.

Coffee had been spilt on the seats, staining the leather.

The seats after cleaning. (The leather looks like a different color due to the difference in lighting.)

The leather all cleaned up.

Interior needed a good vacuuming.

Looking much better after vacuuming.

Looks like some of that coffee made it onto the center console.

Coffee stains removed.

The back seats after cleaning. What a gorgeous interior!

Engine before.

Engine after degreasing.

Car was then pulled out into the sun for some last minute checking.

Looking for swirls in the paint under the sun.

No more swirls and scratches, just lots of metallic flakes!

This car has some amazingly wide curves on the body.

Reflection off the rear trunk lid.

Wheels are looking much sharper now without the brake dust.

Engine bay all complete. Beautiful twin turbo W12!

Finished shots.
